I purchased this item twice as the first time it was so great. Sturdy with 13 slots for space for different sized pens and pencils. However the second order had small slots with elastic loops that doesn’t fit my art brush pens and thus doesn’t work for my needs. I don’t know why they kept the image on the item the same when it has obviously changed?? Beautiful product though so if you have pencils it should be fine. And if they had two products that both matched the description and photo shown I would definitely give it 5 stars!Purchased August 2021 right before leaving for a vacation. This pencil wrap appealed to me because 1) the fabric folded from the top and bottom 2) the pencils would be held in larger pockets, rather than individual loops 3) cute tree design. Ok, the tree is still the same, and when rolled up it is pretty, so this is not a big deal however notice that the print is sideways compared to advertised image. The real bummer is that the height of the fabric is only 6 inches, not the 8-inches advertised, so there's no folding the top down to keep pencils from slipping out. Also, there are individual loops - which is what most people like, but I don't and was the primary reason for buying this particular wrap. Since there's not enough time to exchange, I'll use the wrap - it is very sturdy and I'm sure those 72 loops will hold the pencils in place. I just wish I had received what I paid for.I love this roll up case because it is well made, and the slots can fit markers as well as color pencils. Most cases can’t, but these cases can fit 3 sharpies in each slot or 4 colored pencils. It was a nice quality and I love it!The pencil roll arrived on time (Amazon Prime). It is simple and functional. The medium-weight fabric looks and feels great -- it appears to be cotton or linen -- not vinyl, plastic, nylon or other synthetic. I like that it has a flap to cover the sharpened ends of the pencils. Some other pencil rolls do not. This pencil roll does not smell like some of the plastic/vinyl ones and will not crack like plastic, vinyl or some inferior leather. I like the binding cord -- no snaps to snag, scratch or break. I also like the fact that it does not have 72 individual pencil loops like some rolls or cases have. So, I can store pencils and pens in groups of 4-to-6 per pocket, depending upon the pencil diameters, without fighting elastic loops that may stretch loose as they get older.I was going to sew my own canvas pencil roll, until I found this one, online. The only way to improve on this design is to make it from organically and sustainably-grown cotton, or linen, using natural dyes or naturally-colored threads. I hope that the workers who make these are well-treated and well-paid.Seriously good quality for the price! Very sturdy, doubled up canvas. *Fits over 100 colored pencils* I got 104ish in mine. Would have preferred to have a roll that could fit all the pencils flat but I wasn’t able to find anything online that wasn’t a lot more. Only thing I’m not too fond of is the print. It’s not ugly obviously, just not my style. This pencil wrap can hold all the pencils from my over 150 pencil pack and let me put all the ones of a certain color scheme in one pocket. The flap covers the points of the pencils to protect them from breaking. Plus there is even a pocket where I can keep my pencil sharpener and eraser.I love the pockets. Was happy to find a roll without elastic finally
