My First Ticonderoga is longer & thicker than a standard pencil and, much easier for our kiddo to use on a daily basis. The latex free eraser is a major plus to those who are allergic. This pencil has a very sturdy lead that does not break easily no matter what the angle or pressure our kiddo uses while writing or drawing. The eraser head works great leaving no smudges when making corrections.
